Established site overlooking the Pentland Firth with views of the Orkney Islands. The site is situated midway between the ferry at John o'Groats and the roll-on roll-off ferry at Gills Bay. Both ferries have daily sailings to Orkney.

Camping at the small sandy bay is allowed. There are no facilities other than a water pipe near to Sheigra House.
