We rented a static caravan hear in early March 2016. It is without doubt the warmest, cleanest, most stylish caravan we have ever stayed in. We went with friends that stayed in their motor home. We have been visiting Kintyre with them for some years but our first time in Machrihanish. Our friends were raving about the spotless loo's which were also heated. There was a second toilet block however it wasnt open early in the season as it was relitivly quiet. We ate in the exalent family freindly pub that was just a 10 minute walk along the road twice. If you visit the pub you must try the "haggis Nachos" they were unbelievable. A new pavement being built while we were there which will be a great when it is compleeted to link the park with the village. The beach is amazing with our ten year old even jumping in the sea (that is the Atlantic ocean in March) he was out as soon as he was in. We didn't golf when we were down but I was amazed as to how affordable it was to play on such a prestigious course and plan to play when we return in August this year (we can't wait).

A group of 6 of us stayed here for tow nights in 2 "BigWams" as we were on motorbikes and wanted to guarantee a dry night! The facilities on the site are excellent! The toilet block is modern, clean and the showers are excellent (and free). The Tent pitches are very flat and have some mounds of grass to help deflect some of the strong winds that are common here. I would thoroughly recommend the Wigwams, which war new, clean and well positioned with decking area and benches. They also had a large slab to put your BBQ on! Location is great also, with fantastic biking roads!

Stayed here for 2 nights in Aug 11 and had an Show more

Stayed here for 2 nights in Aug 11 and had an excellent time! It was quite windy but owners were really helpful in telling us where to pitch our tent. The campsite is in a great location close to an excellent pub (5-10 min walk) and has excellent sunsets! There are two toilet blocks and the unisex shower has lots of space. There is also a campers room with all the facilities if it gets a little too windy... we didnt need to use it but it was great to have it there. We saw loads of birds of prey and seals not far past the beach. An excellent stay... wigwams were booked up otherwise we would have stayed in them they looked great! You must take the sea tour from campbeltown harbour.... it made our trip!
