This is a very well-run and managed site. The setting is a fairly small enclosed wall garden, part of an estate. Surrounding by woodland. However, you don't get views of the surrounding countryside from the site, which is a bit if pity.
The site is mainly give over to regulars who have pitched caravans for the season (or even longer by the look of some). There is no real area for tents, they just have to be fitted in any spaces among the regulars/residents.
The site is clean and well organised. The toilets are clean, as is the laundry and dishwashing. Washing up liquid and scrubber/sponges are provided!
The showers require a 20p piece for 4 minutes of showering. We found this just about adequate but I think many people would need to spend 40p or 60p on the safe side per shower. So take 20p pieces with you!
Although I can see that this site will appeal to some campers, it didn't have the right kind of appeal for me and my partner. Although friendly and helpful, we felt as though we were essentially an unwelcome addition to the residents, with lots of rules governing how "guests" (i.e. tent users) should behave.... We like a more chilled out site rather than one which is so regulated.
