We stayed one night on this site. It seemed to double as the local footie pitch and grazing for a large bull and his herd of cows. It is quite a walk from the Community Centre near the Pier, which has the loos and showers, and involves paddling through a stream which was fortunately quite low. There are wonderful views across to the mountains of the mainland. We were woken at about 5 am by a group of American photographers down on the beach looking for things to take pictures of. We staggered out of the tent and made some coffee, and had our pictures taken! The community centre is an active hub and has a useful shop as well as bar and tea shop.
