This tiny hostel nestles amongst ancient pine forest, with waterfowl and wildlife the nearest neighbours. It looks south across a neighbouring 100 acre grazing moor of heather, peat moss and Caledonian woodland to Cairngorm (1245m) and Bynack More (1090m) nine miles away.

| Lazy Duck Camping, Hostel and Off Grid Huts |
Campers have been welcome since the autumn of 2002 and the opening of the Speyside Way. A very peaceful site in grounds of a small hostel, can accommodate up to four two-man tents or their equivalent for a few nights. Campers have the use of a flush toilet and washbasin, hot water, washing up and bush shower, campfire area, picnic table and use of a wet weather shelter for cooking in if necessary. We also have a wood fired hot tub and sauna.

| Birsay Outdoor Centre and Campsite |
In total there are 20 pitches and 10 electric hook-up points. There is a toilet and shower block on site, where guests will also find washing facilities. For our disabled guests the disabled toilet and shower, within the Centre, is available for use.
Dogs are permitted on the site.

| Rackwick Outdoor Centre with Camping |
Rackwick Outdoor Centre in Hoy has 2 bedrooms containing 4 beds each (2 bunk beds per room). Singles, families and groups are welcome for exclusive room or whole hostel bookings. No camping is available at Rackwick Hostel. There is access to the Hostel during the day once check-in is complete.
