The pitches are a short walk from Niseaboist beach and Macleod’s standing stone with stunning views across the Sound of Taransay.

In the summer, the Machair has an amazing and stunning array of wildflowers. It is full of colour. With a white sandy beach and bright turquoise blue water on your doorstep, if you’re a wild swimmer, into watersports or in need of a summer sunbathe, this spot is perfect. Wild Camping On Harris and Lewis |
There are many great wild camping places on Harris and Lewis. The best pitches tend to be found on the west coast close to small sandy bays. Please treat all with respect and if parking close to homes ask for permission which is generally given. Some areas will not be suitable for dogs given livestock use common grazing. scottishcamping.com has had several reports 2011 of people being unable to locate this site and our recent attempts to contact the owner have been unsuccessful so we are unable to confirm this sites continuing existence. FOR INFORMATION: The scottishcamping map number 31 has also now been reallocated to a different site for the 2014 new map 3rd edition. Please let us know if you have visited recently and we will amend this entry.

There are 30 touring pitches for a mix of tents, caravans and motorhomes although not all pitches are suitable for motorhomes. As you can no longer camp at Cliff, this is the nearest option.
