Many people undertake the Great Glen Way each year walking, cycling or kayaking. This official long distance route runs for 73 miles between Inverness and Fort William and can be undertaken in either direction. scottishcamping.com regularly receives a number of enquiries each year as to where camping is available along the way. Long Beach Campsite |
Long Beach campsite, near Inverie, Knoydart is located in a beautiful spot
looking over Loch Nevis to the Isle of Rum. Facilities include a barbecue,
compost toilet and basic water supply. Long Beach is undergoing a process of
transformation, with new pathways and wildlife hides being constructed. No
need to book - just turn up and pay the Rangers in the morning. £4 / tent /
