To your left you will see the Island of Stroma, three and a half kilometres from the mainland, inhabited by a seal colony and the occasional visitor. In front of you will see the Orkney Islands from Hoy on your left then to South Walls, Flotta, South Ronaldsay and Pentland Skerries to your extreme right. Situated within 1km of the site, there is a Post Office, Grocers Shop, Filling Station and also a Hotel open to non-residents.
