Balranald Hebridean Holidays Caravan & Campsite

The caravan and campsite is located in the heart of the RSPB Balranald Nature Reserve on North Uist and only metres from a beautiful sandy beach. It is an ideal base for exploring the Uists and Barra. We have 10 caravan/motorhome hard standing pitches with electric hook-ups and 10 tent pitches. Our newly built modern amenities block provides electric showers (operated by £1 coin meter), toilets, wash hand basins, disabled facilities, a dish washing area and washing machine. On the nature reserve you will find a huge variety of wading and farmland birds nesting on the flower-rich machair and the site provides an opportunity to see and hear the elusive Corncrake. Other birds include Snipe, Oystercatcher, Lapwing, Turnstone, Ringed Plover, Redshank, Skylark, Arctic Tern, Little Tern and the Corn Bunting. There are fantastic views of the Monach Isles and St Kilda. The RSPB Balranald Visitor Centre is a short walk from the site and there are guided walks during the summer months.
