We wild camp whenever possible in our 24 foot motorhome and found lovely places on the Luskentyre road (paid our £5 donation per night to West Harris Trust at the office at Sielabost School, although you can do it online if your 2G connects well enough). Used the chemical dump at the Leverburgh CalMac office on the pier on Harris. On Lewis we wild camped on the cliff machair at Bhaltos for a £5 donation in the honesty box and also stayed in various lay-bys created out of old roads. We stayed a night either end of our wild camping on Lewis at the campground at Siabost, friendly and all the facilities for a big clean up. 5 stars for everything as the wild camping on the islands is superb.
