Firstly, a thank you to the warden who allowed us to keep our bags in the laundry room after we were stuck in a storm. Facilities are really great and clean. Site had a few walkers for the Cuillins as well as some motorhomes who just seemed to be passing through. The hotel across the road serves really good food (and they were also sympathetic to us being too wet to be able to go anywhere else and allowed us to stay there all day), but there are no shops (Portree is 9 miles away). Really atmospheric setting under the Cuillins and by the loch. It would've been a great base for us if we were to be walking, however, we were only passing through. Would suit a lot of people. £6 pppn was relative to what we had already paid in campsites with similar amount of facilities.
