Best features: 1) 5 star facilities block with all the right details, e.g. pristine showers have free unlimited hot water and all the cubicles have 6 pegs - miracles! 2) Site is flat as a pancake and regularly mown by assiduous and hard working site manager (yo Lesley, you're a star!). 3) Each tent/caravan/whatever has a clearly defined 10meter pitch which is never to far from a tap or a bin/fire extinguisher point. 4) Setting and views are lovely, and picnic tables are a nice little extra!

We, myself husband and 5yr old daughter just love this campsite. It's level and well draining, lesley the owner is just a star and the shower block is nothing short of fantastic. My daughter loved the small play park and we could see her from anywhere on the site so she could play all day with the other children. The forest walk is lovely and Wigtown is not too far away with its lovely bookshops and a handy, if a tad expensive, coop. We have visited this site twice and we r returning again this year and taking some friends who have never camped before. Thanks lesley keep up the good work xx

We have been there twice now having read other reviews and quite fancied it, on both occasions last halloween! and this easter (09).We that is me my wife and 11yr old daughter loved it.The weather was kind to us and we were sad to leave and wanted to stay on longer we will i am sure be back this summer Lesley is priceless even helped me break in to my own caravan when we got locked out of it.Spotless facilities good pitches forest walk worth doing pretty well marked out so you won't get lost
