A small site suitable only for small tents because Show more

A small site suitable only for small tents because of the trees. Facilities basic but ample. Good covered cooking/eating area. Busy, of course, mainly with walkers. It's the first/last camp on the route so beware of 'last night' revellers keeping you awake. If you stay more than one night you'll get the daytime to yourselves as everyone else is up and off for the walk. Good selection of pub food in Drymen.

Found this lovely campsite perfect!!! facilities are basic and in good working order!!! the view is amazing - we sat for hours watching over the farm and had a great laugh with the owners dogs!!!! highly recommend this site and the village for anyone wanting to stop over for the highland way or enjoy a peaceful getaway!!!

great place to stay! was right next to the west highland way so we didn't have to walk off course. 4 toilets and 2 showers, so no queues in the morning. didn't have breakfast but heard from our neighbours that it was very good.

Drymen Camping

Set in a beautiful part of Scotland with lovely views of the Campsie Fells and surrounding countryside this is an ideal location for exploring Loch Lomond, The Trossachs and Central Scotland. Directly on the West Highland Way with beautiful views this is an ideal stop after your first day on the West Highland Way. We are the only campsite near Drymen, one mile south of the village. Tent pitches in grass field. Large indoor cooking area along with wooden heated wigwams.

Drymen Camping Having visited 7 campsites throughout Scotland this summer, we're sorry to say that the owners of this campsite ask too much money considering the minor quality of the site and the facilities. One small, crampy toilette, washing and shower behind one door for each men and ladies! Grass pitches for our tents were bumpy. A good point is the indoor cooking area which proved very handy on a rainy morning. Drymen Camping A sweet and chilled site that was friendly without being intrusive. The useful information board even had an offer of a cooked breakfast if you spoke to the folks in the office the night before.
