This is a small campsite, with lovely views over the East coast, adequate showers and a nice kitchen with table and chairs by a big window overlooking the view - very welcome when wet or midgy. However it is only just below Shetland's busiest main road, between the airport and Lerwick, so if you're not used to traffic, or want to get away from it, it may not be for you.

Levinwick is a lovely place witha fantastic beach. Whether its views, wildlife or a real sense of community then Levenwick's got it. Levenwick is one of the best places in the world and I would highly reccomend it.

great convenient site . Clean and well looked after . 5* location for exploring southern Shetland and all it has to offer. Recommend Sumbrough and Boddam Museum. St. Ninians Isle a must ! Too much to see on one visit so be back next year.

Levenwick Campsite and Community Hall

Community owned site located in Levenwick around 10 miles south of Lerwick. Overlooking bay and close to safe sandy beach. 4 touring and 10 tent pitches. The nearest shop is at Spiddie Hotel 5.5 miles. Taxis can be arranged from the site. There is disabled access to the toilet block, indoor laundry and kitchen with recycling bins and indoor shower room. Electric hook-ups and chemical waste disposal onsite.

Breath Taking Site View What a fantastic small caravan park this was in 2005 when I stayed there. With the addition of clothes washing facility that was being completed during my stay I am looking forward to staying there again this year 2006. Its close proximity to the southern lochs of Shetland make it an ideal base for my fishing expeditions, and to sit there during the evening and relax and enjoy the view after a good days fishing makes it a fisherman paradise.
