Visited twice this summer. Had a very good experience at the beginning of July 2011. The campsite was not busy and there were plenty of places to pitch up. The site has a very open plan feel to it and there are multiple options for pitching. Enjoyed every aspect of the first visit.
The second visit, at the beginning of August, was not so enjoyable. It was very busy, and hard to find a pitch. Having pitched and then returned to reception to pay, I was told that I had pitched near a EHU and should pay more, or be prepared to move. I explained that there were few options, to which some grumpy guy murmured something under his breath. Not very friendly staff!
But the main problem in busy periods is the showering facilities and toilets. The showers are very weak and it takes at least 10 minutes to wash yourself, even a quick wash. But this creates queues. There are not enough showers to cope with busy periods. And the washrooms generally get very dirty and full of cut grass.......
I would definitely visit out of the peak season, but never again during a busy time until they sort out the washing facilities.
