Great site very well maintained always spotless in good location for plane spotting and beach with easy access to Prestwick and Ayr, Most pitches are fully serviced with ehu, water and grey waste at rear of pitch for a very reasonable £20 per night. Only thing I would mark down is the size of the pitches If everyone is using an awning it can get a little tight and there is no play area for children

Well I have returned to prestwick now as caravaner please read previous article I submitted as camper and think the site is as wonderful as it was years ago so much so I have been down 3 weekends in a row unless you get pitch 9 or 10 if you plan on using your awning as an extra room or taking dogs as its hardstanding. On loose stones which my daughter assures me even with groundsheet,inner tent and airbed she could still feel even the dogs did not like sitting out as it hurt their paws a suggestion to get round this problem would be some turf taking the pitches round the walled garden in an L shape toilets as spotless as ever friendly staff who try hard to accomodate you ,great location (have never spent so much time on a beach in scotland) overall I would recommend a visit to this wee gem

i have to be honest the area allocated to tents is Show more

i have to be honest the area allocated to tents is not really suitable especially for those of us with modern geometric style family tents with electric hook-up ,however the bar was nice and toilet facilities very good, the park neat and tidy.........noise from airport never really bothered me(nightcap in the bar helps you forget noise)...the site was clean ...staff friendly...and close to prestwick airport train station if you wish to leave the car to head into town....good access to the beach, was ideal for a short break close to home and i would certainly return again
