Was a little dubious of going here as reviews were so mixed, but it is under new ownership and it has improved a lot versus the reviews. It is clean and pleasant and you can see they are making major investment in the site.
There is a new facilities block for touring vans which is very good and has hair dryers in the ladies.
We did not use it, but there is now and indoor swimming pool. They have a nice outdoor play park for children. The on-site fish and chip shop was good and the outdoor eating area there very nice with a fenced area for toddler play. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There is a bar and cafe which we didn't use and a shop which we did.
We also sat watching the planes take off for Nato exercises and had our own free air display!
Beach is small at high tide, but otherwise it goes for miles and has rock pools and caves.
Have only marked it down slightly for two reasons - it is a big caravan park right by RAF Lossiemouth, so not for those wanting a quiet get-away spot. We were also given no information when we came in as to where facilities were such as motorhome grey waste disposal etc. so could improve here.
A suggestion for the management : given the numbers on the site, I hope they get round to board-walking the short walk across the dunes to the beach. It would make it more accessible for the disabled, easier for everyone and protect the dunes better.
Stayed here April 2015.
