As a child this was and still is my favourite holiday location. The Gomez family are very special people and I was very lucky to be welcomed into their home as I was similar ages to their four children. Holiday's at North Alves were a world away from the confides of home and I was allowed to run free for two weeks, never wanting to leave for family excusions and always crying when we left for home. The site is a haven for children with a little imagination, the barn, tyre swings and the space I never tired of. The facilities are basic but that is what a caravan holiday should be all about. The toilets/showers are immaculate and nothing is ever too much hassle for Mr Gomez. If you are looking for an idylic restful holiday then this is definately the place to go. I only hope that your experiences are as memorable and special as mine.

We have used this site for something like 20 years, whenever we come up to the Elgin area to visit family. There is lots of space for children to play and an indoor games room but I don't think there is a play area with swings etc. The facilities include washing machines and a dryer. The family who run the site maintain it well and are always friendly and welcoming. It's a quiet, unsophisticated site in a lovely area, within easy reach of the beach at Roseisle, Elgin for shopping and such tourist attractions as Culloden battlefield, Baxters in Fochabers and Cawdor Castle. We shall be staying there in three weeks time! (July 2006)
