We stayed here for a weekend in May 2012 because our usual campsite Inverbervie was being upgraded. The site overall is nice, great play park for the kids and very near the beach. Along the road (Walking distance) is a huge kids play area with splash pool and café, toilets etc. We chose a pitch near the entrance of the site and this is where my negatives come from. Noisy with boy racers until 3/4am both nights. The loud music and the revving engines/big exhausts. Even had we been further into the campsite I think we would have heard it. Most people go camping/caravanning for a little bit of quite - If this is what you are after then chose another site. The sites facilities were good and the area is great with shops nearby and eateries. I don't think we will be rushing back though.....

Have just returned from another enjoyable though Show more

Have just returned from another enjoyable though very wet week at south links our only complaint is the very cold toilet block and lukewarm water in the showers. Will be back next year.

The tent area was nice and enclosed surrounded by trees and the ground was really easy to pitch on. It rained for a while but the grass had really good drainage and there were no puddles. Within walking distance was a really nice play area at the splash zone and had loads of play equipment for children of all ages and a unique paddling area. This was ideal for us as we have a 5 & 3 year old who loved it. We were also within walking distance of a nice restaurant called Roos Leap so if like us you like to dine out on holiday this was really good. The toilets on site were clean and not to far to walk, the only down side was that the showers wasn't great. We had a really good time and will definitely be back.
