Beautiful site. Ducks,geese and swans on large pond. Toilets and showers superbly clean, and warm. Only one niggle - the games room and indoor pool were open only from 10-12 and 1-3, and the Christmas/New Year period is classed as "High Season" so was quite expensive, condsidering the facilities were only partially open. But one of the best sites we've visited.

I have been camping with my three sons for a number of years now and can honestly say that Castle Cary is the best site we have been to. Apart from the occasional 'noisy' neighbours, which is something that you will find on most sites, we have always enjoyed our visits. The park is well looked after and the facilities, especially the toilet/shower block are kept at a very high standard. The outdoor pool is well heated and kept clean, but we have only used the indoor pool once... outside was more fun, and warmer! We can also recommend a visit to the Lairds Inn which is situated on site and offers a wide choice of good quality food. Overall, an excellent place to spend a few days. We will be back again this summer.

We stayed here for 11 nights having originally booked for 5. It was probably the best holiday we have ever had!! The (super) pitches were large hardstanding with hedges or dry stane dykes separating them. All of the super pitches had tv, water and waste hookup. There are plenty of dog walks. The shop is well stocked and reasonably priced. Games room is ok with usual kids amusements, pool tables and full size snooker table. The Lairds Inn at the back of he site appears to be a separate business from the site. On arrival the wife was told that the food was very good. I was a bit sceptical "they would say that" however having tried I can only say it is one of the best meals (pub grub) we have had. Reasonably priced for both meals and drinks. The outdoor pool was very good and warm, the indoor pool was not used very much and we found out that it didn,t have a shallow end.....not very good for kids. All in all that was the only fault and have to say that it is well worth a visit...as new caravanners we feel rather spoilt and anywhere else will have to be brillant to better this site. We will be back.
