Beeswing Caravan Park This campsite is wonderful. It is very well maintained by the friendly, welcoming owners and has some lovely touches - real towels and good quality soap and toilet roll in the immaculate toilet block; and games, jigsaws and books as well as lots of tourist information leaflets in the equally immaculate clothes washing/drying/dishwashing room. The site is beautifully laid out and very peaceful (apart from the cows in the morning!). iT has its own mini putting green and there is a friendly black hen, a donkey and lots of rabbits. The site is not lit at night so that the best views of the bright, starry sky can be enjoyed. I wish we could have spent longer here...we will definitely return. Beeswing Caravan Park Was very spacious, well maintained, laundry facilities.. use of washing machine, tumble dryer, shower/toilet block... these were very clean, hot water, liquid soap, shower gels, even a clean towel on a hook. There was a few tent spaces that had log seats with them, only little but good enough to stand your stove on. Wildlife... rabbits hoppin around everywhere, birds singin, resident donkey called Benjamin. Owners helpful, showed ya round when you arrive. Only one downside.... I was woken up early the first mornin due to the cows in the next field mooin. But if you aint a light sleeper it may not affect ya. Would defo recommend it. Beeswing Caravan Park We are first time campers with 2 children aged 3 and 7. The welcome we recived was lovely with a good back ground information of the area, as well as additional information for all activities in the wash room. The shower/toilet block was spotless with lovely touches (Plug for hairdryer/straightners) and within easy reach of all pitches. The kids loved the park, the donkey and all the little nature trails around the site. We followed the map directions (in wash room) to a tower about a mile away, anything else has to been done in the car which suited us and i think gave the camp site a nice piecefull feel. Beeswing Caravan Park From the minute we called to book to the minute we left after a few days mid April was fantastic. We were all excited about going here for the first time and we were not dissapointed. Firstly we had brilliant weather ( of course thats how I planned it...well done daddy) The campsite is immaculate and run by a lovely family. The kids park kept my two girls very happy and so did the donkey (a four legged horse like animal). The showers and toilets are spotless and there is a 24hr Tesco just 15 mins away. Its in a great location for visiting places in the region. But the cream of galloway was a bit pricey for what you get, its a cheaper version of Landmark with the attractions and the food is exspensive. WARNING stay out of the trees here as the birds nesting in them poo everywhere....EVERYWHERE!!. Me wor lass and the kids are going back to beeswing again this year and next and so on and so on....This campsite is not to be overlooked. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Beeswing Caravan Park Just back from 5 days at this site and would echo the sentiments of the others who have posted comments. An absolutely stunning corner of Scotland with loads to do for all ages, especially the mountain biking. A couple of pieces of advice for those wih kids; Cream o Galloway is decent value if there early, but be prepared if you don't take a picnic - FIVER for a burger. A hidden gem is the Galloway wildlife park at kirkcubright especially this time of year as many animals/birds have youngsters, go midday (feeding time) and go round twice to see all the breeds on show. Beeswing Caravan Park Had the pleasure of staying at Beeswing for three nights last week and it was one of the loviest spots we have had the good fortune to come across. The site is lovely and the kids play area is great, as is the small putting area. Benjamin the donkey if also another highlight for the kids. The surroundings are beautiful, especially the ponds and the wildlife they attract. Would highly recommend it to anyone, especially families with young children. Beeswing. We found Beeswing quite by accident looking on a map for campsites in the Dumfries and Galloway area. As Beeswing is a title of a song dear to us, we just had to go there.We camped at the back of the site near the two donkeys and it was so peaceful and tranquil, ideal for us two. The site information was excellent both written in pamphlet form and verbal from the owners, and we visited many places near by as well as a bit further a feild. We are coming back here again this year as there are plenty of things we still want to see and the site is so lovely with its two donkeys and the lovely walks by the pond in the evening. Also nearby is an old tower that is good to visit and whats more it is free. If your style lends to culture then you may fancy catching a bus into Dumfries you can enjoy lunch and a pint in Rabbie Burns favourite haunt and even sit in his chair, also as the bus drops you back near the site you can enjoy a wee dram or too with ya tatties and neeps. Beeswing Caravan Park Fantastic site, in a lovely peaceful rural setting with spotless facilities throughout - one of the best sites we've ever stayed at. It was also relatively quiet considering it was mid July. The owners are very friendly and charge very little in comparison to other sites - excellent value for money. Our kids loved the playpark and wildlife around the on site ponds. Its location is ideal for visiting family attractions such as Cream o' Galloway and Mabie Farm Park. Beeswing Caravan Park First Visit to this site and it certainly wont be our last.This was the first time our kids had tried canvas and got to admit they loved it. The toilets are spotless and the rest of the site utilities are spot on. the site is self is so Quiet, just so peaceful. there is a Small swing park for the kids. and the walk round the ponds are just lovely. but be weary of the plastic mallards, they bite if your not looking :). Only had one trivial complaint from my partner there was no where to plug my straightners in in the toilets. Oh my. you must try this site is was fantastic, really made our short break. Beeswing Caravan Park We had a weeks camping and came across Beeswing Campsite. Very freindly and 'The Best' welcome ever to a campsite, a wee tour of the grounds. Lovely wee pond to sit at and watch time go by. Great for those seaking peace or close for the 7 stanes biking. Swings, mini golf / putting, rounders etc for kids. Very cheap, however they don't have facilities for plastic, so take a roll of paper. It's worth while having a walk up to the old stone tower, about 1.5 mile up the back road. Have a nice stay.
