just come back from a family holiday at the middletons campsite. lovely location nice flat turf for the tents and safe for my daughter to run around. lovely and quiet at night so a good sleep. the owners were extremely friendly and we felt at home. there were shower and toilets with hairdryers and lovely hand soap and toilet rolls and hand towels provided. there were laundry and washing up facilities and also a fridge to store things in. only a five min walk from the center of lamlash. lamlash had pubs, resturants, a church, a couple of shops and a beautiful beach.very good value for money, i think it was £5 pppn. There is a bus stop at end of campsite road or in lamlash its self but very expensive it cost us 20 odd pounds return for 3 adults and two children to go to whitting bay only 3 or 4 miles up the road and not too many regular buses so i would speak to campsite owner and book a local taxi as much cheaper. the taxi we used to get the five of us back to brodick fo the ferry was arran private hire-01770600903. and it was a mini bus taxi and only cost us 6 pound. we loved it so much we are already planning another trip there hopefully in a couple of weeks.
