Never been to this campsite before. We would go again, staff were very good - friendly and helpful, however felt it was quite pricy per night.... £34 per night..... Great location right on seal shore so no midges (yee ha!) Pitches are unmarked which isn't the best and cars have to be taken off to the car park rather than staying on pitch. Toilets could have been cleaner but not bad enough to put us off.....

It gives a feeling of Bretagne, camping direct on the seashore. Nice beachwalks, quite and beautifull. The owner has sometime redicules rules concerning placing and view. If not so, this should be by far the best campsite on Arran for us. we stayed for 4 days here

We stayed here in July '09 and got 3 days of perfect weather. The location of site is perfect and while there are no specific kids facilities the proximity of beach more than makes up for it. Pitch allocation is slightly chaotic. We only had a small 3 man tent and at first were directed to the field furthest away from the beach which was marked as unbooked pitches despite the fact we had prebooked. We asked for a pitch closer to the beach which seemed to be based on tent size so we were able to get it which was fine, until 2 days later when a number of tents larger than our pitched up in front of us. This isn't a major problem obviously but its definitely worth asking if you'd like to get a particular spot. The facilties aren't great and I would agree with comments that there aren't enough for the size of site but we did find them fairly clean. We were directed to the disabled shower one morning which doubled as a cleaning storage cupboard. Staff were friendly when we arrived and there is a small shop with some basics. The pub next door is decent with some local beers. Despite the negatives the location definitely makes the site worth a visit.
