A really lovely, spacious and quiet site. Very well laid out with hook-up pitches close to the sea as well as a very big area for tents and those who don't require electricity. There are hard standings slightly back from the shore but as the ground was dry (during “the best week of the summer” we were told) we parked on grass right against the fence that bounds the shore and at the far end of the site near the pier. Seems to be a good site for those who enjoy fishing or paddling their canoes. Facilities block (there are two but we only used the one at the far end) was perfectly adequate and well cleaned with limitless hot water in the showers. Café was handy for lunch time snacks at reasonable prices and wifi access. Management staff was extremely nice and helpful. Views and sunsets spectacular. Only gave the 'Facilities for kids' 4 stars as there's only a small 'jungle gym' on site, but if your kids are outdoories there's plenty to keep them very happy fossicking along the shore or fishing from the pier and for them it's a 5 start plus site. Ended up here due to a trip to Shiant islands via Stornoway being cancelled due to weather and were stuck in Ullapool. Didn't fancy the Ullapool site and luckily had the Scottish Camping map in the van with the phone number of Ardmair. Phoned and verified availability and bingo we had five great days and nights.

Well I have to say it is a very well run family site, nothing is a problem to them . A great wee café ( home baking too). its great to see people sitting in the café enjoying the view A great play area for the kids , plenty of wild life to see. will be visiting again in the very near future Marks out of 10 ... will easily give 10 Thanks to all

Stayed 2 nights here, was very windy when I arrived so I wasn't sure if I would stay at all, but, as the owner said, there are plenty of sheltered spots for a tent. The ground is well drained and ever after heavy rain was not soggy at all. There are banks of wild flowers and willow separating the tents, and the pitches are at different heights letting you have a bit of privacy. The campervans are all lined up along the front and get the best views, but also catch the wind. 2 lots of toilets, and a wee shop and basic but good cafe in the reception building. Near enough Ullapool to nip down for fish and chips. Great wee site, friendly.
