Strathclyde Park is well worth a visit, there is plenty to do, and see. The location provides for easy travel into Glasgow city centre, and also to Edinburgh. We have stayed at this lovely park since the early eighies. Although we stopped when T in The Park started up, as it was a nightmare for families to enjoy the campsite, or the park. It is inexpensive to stay here, and during busy periods stays are limited to 14 nights to give tourists a chance to find somewhere. Then there is also the fact one cannot book on again until at least a month later, we thought this was a silly rule, and did nothing for customer confidence. However! The Staff are lovely, helpful, and very accomadating. If you book, and later know you are going to be held up, It is better to phone the warden to explain, as a result they will arrange for someone to let you in, no matter how late you arrive. Highly recommended for the local talent, clyde valley etc.
