This was a lovely camp site as my boyfriend and I stayed for 4days in august, the views are to die for as we were camping the tent looked over the water, just lovely and tranquil. Mobile phone signals are limited but to be honest it's good to get away from all that, the owners are so lovely and make you feel very welcome, There is wireless Internet which can be found in a room near the reception which is free to use, I would definitely recommend this site and I will be going back for a lovely relaxing visit.

We stayed at this site for a week in August 2006. The site, has a lovely location and views, owners fabulous and friendly. The only downside was the actual field where we pitched our tent. It was on a slope and you pitched your tent anywhere. The only flat section was where everyone else wanted to pitch their tent (away from the cows). We came back from a day out to find that a family had squeezed their tent into a space where their tent was actually touching out (they had 5 kids!). The campsite needed to be more aware of health & safety regulations with campers. The showers were also limited and could have done with more than 2!!! Hence the minor problems, we left early although the owner gave us a refund and apologised. Please don't let this put you off....give it a go!!

This is a lovely, well-kept site with friendly management. It manages the compromise between good facilities and hassle free camping well: good facilities within the caravan and trailer area, distinct from the tents which are a short walk up the hill in a field with great views. The wider location is good too. Rockcliffe (a 15 minute walk away) is a quaint collection of houses (but no shops) round a small sandy beach, whilst Gutcher's Isle on the other side of Castle Point is an idyllic quiet remote sandy beach, again about 15 minutes walk, unless you get cut off by the tide - in which case more like 45 mins.
