At the time of writing, the site is unfortunately surrounded by construction work for new University buildings and access roads. The location and usual Caravan Club standards of facilities are all a given, but adjacent site construction works may disappoint you. The staff have limited control over the neighbouring development works. Although we were not unduly bothered by the adjacent site works, it might ruin a visit if it were a main annual holiday visit. Check warning notice on the site main web site for progress. Otherwise, easy walking distance to town centre and water front.

what a nice site this is, you would not believe that you were so close to Ayre, it is a quiet site and all the facilities expected from a Caravan Club site (full marks to the friendly wardens) fantastic walks for dog owners, around the gardens and along the river. 20 min walk into Ayre along the river Tesco 1 mile away A nice city centre site, we will be back

I have used this site numerous times now and would recoment it if you want to chill out and relax. The site is always clean as you would expect from a Caravan Club site. There are not loads for kids to do but with most campsites they make friends and their own entertainment. There is a small play park for kids but geared towards younger kids. You can walk to the town centre if you want, it is not that far away but you can drive if you wish. The pitches are spacious and I have not been on one that has had any water lying on it. The park is totally flat so easy to get round and the toilet blocks are very clean. Good facilities for disabled. I will be using this park again. You can also do all of the 'Burns' trail if this interests you.
