Wild Camping On Harris and Lewis |
There are many great wild camping places on Harris and Lewis. The best pitches tend to be found on the west coast close to small sandy bays. Please treat all with respect and if parking close to homes ask for permission which is generally given. Some areas will not be suitable for dogs given livestock use common grazing. Now open this site is a replacement to the Clubs Barn Ness site. The Club describes the site as " On Scotland's sunshine coast, our new Club Site at Dunbar is just up the road from our old Barns Ness Site, but still close to the Barns Ness lighthouse.
