This is a basic site but exactly what I was looking for. I do not like the regimented structure of the new breed of caravan site, as provided by the major clubs and commercial organizations. This is clean, tidy, well equipped and cheap. I spent three nights here in a motorcaravan in September and was very lucky with the weather. I fully understand that good weather tends to colour a person's vision when on holiday but I would be happy to be on this site in the rain! It answered all my needs. The chemical disposal point was well designed, the toilets and showers (neither of which I used, as I use my own facilities) looked functional and clean. What more does anyone want (unless you are looking for 'entertainment'!)

This campsite is amazing! Right on the beach Show more

This campsite is amazing! Right on the beach it's beautiful. My husband and I love the beach and the kids think it's brilliant to be able to just walk over to the beach to play. The views are fantastic. The beach is never crowded so the kids can dig holes, build sand castles, play football or cricket without worrying about other people. And our dog thinks it's great fun too! This site is very child and dog friendly I would recommend it to everyone.

this is my idea of heaven.i have visited Machribeg for more years than i care to remember. I have 3 adult sons who still love to come to southend
